(Serves 3 - 6)
Time: 15 Minutes

  • 3 apples, cut lengthwise and cored

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Directions for Grilling Apples

    1. Preheat the grill as follows:

    Direct heat, medium-high
    (400 - 450 degrees F)

Direct heat, light ash, grate should be on lowest setting

Direct heat, light ash, 3 - 4 inches deep, grate should be 2 inches above the fire

    2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

    3. Grill apples directly over medium-high heat (400 degrees F), flesh-side down, for 3 minutes. Flip over and grill 3 minutes. Brush the flesh side of the apple with the brown sugar butter glaze, flip flesh-side down, and finish grilling apples 3 more minutes.

    Grilling Tip:
Grilled apples can go from golden brown to burnt in less than a minute so keep a close eye on them while they grill.

You just want the apples heated through with some grill marks and caramelization.
