Grilled Broccoli Recipe


This easy grilled broccoli with garlic, parmesan, and lemon is inexpensive, healthy and delicious. It is one of our best barbecue side dishes. Try it and tell us what you think at the bottom of this page.

Grilled Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients
(Serves 6)
Time: 1 Hour

  • 6 cups fresh broccoli spears


  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice


  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


  • 3/4 tablespoon garlic powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Directions for Grilling Broccoli

    In a large bowl, add the broccoli, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss to coat broccoli. Leave at room temperature for 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile, preheat grill for medium heat (350 degrees F). The grill is ready when you can only keep the palm of your hand two inches above the grate for about 5 seconds before pulling away.

    Toss broccoli. Drain marinade. Place broccoli in a vegetable grilling basket.

    Grilling Tip:
    No basket? Just center the broccoli on 2 large squares of aluminum foil. Fold over and seal edges tightly.

    Lightly oil grate. Grill broccoli over indirect heat (off to the side, not directly over the coals/flame) and cover for about 8 minutes per side or until crisp-tender.

    Substitutions

    Grilling broccoli rained out on account of weather? Bake broccoli on a baking sheet at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes.
