Grilled Green Beans Recipe

Grilled Green Beans

Ingredients
(Serves 6)
Time: 30 Minutes

  • 1 1/2 pounds green beans, ends trimmed


  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground salt (not a must but recommend)


  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Directions for Grilling Green Beans

    Preheat grill for medium-high heat (about 425 degrees F). The grill is ready when you can only keep the palm of your hand two inches above the grate for 2 - 3 seconds before pulling away.

    In a large bowl, toss together the trimmed green beans, salt and pepper. Place green beans in a vegetable grilling basket. No basket? Just center the green beans on 2 squares of aluminum foil. Fold over and seal edges tightly.

    Grill green beans, turning frequently for 10 - 15 minutes or until tender and crispy.

    Variation for Grilled Chinese Green Beans

    Heat things up by replacing the olive oil with sesame oil. Add 1/4 teaspoon hot chili pepper sauce and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.

    Grilling Green Beans Cancelled Due to Rain?

    Bake 'em. Place green beans on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 425 degrees F. Stir occasionally and bake 10 - 15 minutes or until tender, golden brown, and crispy.
