Country Style Grilled Pork Tenderloin Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 3)
Time: Under 1 Hour

  • 1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin

  • 2 clove garlic, minced

  • Paprika

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup cold water

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

  • 1/2 cup diced onions (recommend yellow sweet onions)

  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine (red or white)

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules

  • How To Barbeque Pork Tenderloin

Preheat grill for medium-high heat (about 450 degrees F). No thermometer? The grill is ready when you can hold the palm of your hand two inches above the grate for only 4 -5 seconds before pulling away.

Rub pork on all sides with minced garlic and paprika.

Clean and lightly oil grill grate. Place meat over direct heat for 5 minutes per side to build up a nice crust. Then move to indirect heat. At this point, your barbecued pork tenderloin should take about 20 - 30 minutes to cook (turning meat every 5 minutes).

    Grilling Tip:
Before serving, let your grilled pork tenderloin rest 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to settle throughout the meat and keep it moist.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the flour and cold water until smooth. Set aside.

In a large skillet, over medium high heat, saute the mushrooms and onions in the butter. Mix in the cooking wine, lemon juice, thyme, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Then whisk in the flour-water mixture and beef bouillon. Stir continually until gravy thickens and everything is well mixed.

Slice your barbecued tenderloin and serve it with gravy atop a bed of cooked rice for a delicious country style dish.

  • Instructions for Grilling Pork Tenderloin

Preheat grill for medium-high heat (around 400 degrees F). No thermometer? The grill is ready when you can hold the palm of your hand two inches above the grate for only 4 -5 seconds before pulling away.

In a large resealable plastic bag, mix together the onion powder, garlic powder, chipotle chile powder, salt, and brown sugar. Add the pork tenderloins. Seal the bag and shake to coat meat evenly. Allow pork to rest at least 20 minutes at room temperature to soak-up the flavor.
