Grilled Red Potato Recipe

Easy grilled red potatoes recipe with a delicious garlic rosemary marinade. It is the perfect seasoning to use when grilling red skin potatoes. Try it and tell us what you think at the bottom of this page.

Grilled Red Skin Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
(Serves 4 - 6)
Time: Under 30 Minutes

  • 12 red potatoes, halved


  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper


  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced


  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, crushed


  • Salt (to taste)
  • Directions for Grilling Red Potatoes

    Preheat a grill for medium-high heat (about 400 degrees F).

    Grilling Tip:
    The grill is ready when you can only keep the palm of your hand two inches above the grate for about 3 seconds before pulling away.

    In a large pot over medium high heat, add the red potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook about 5 minutes or until tender. Drain potatoes and toss with olive oil, black pepper, minced garlic, crushed rosemary, and salt.

    Lightly oil grate and place the potatoes skin-side down on the grate over indirect heat (off to the side, not directly over the coals/flame). Grill red potatoes for about 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.

    Suggestions

    This recipe also works well when grilling russet potatoes (Idaho/baking potatoes). Just reduce the number of potatoes to five.
