Marinated Flank Steak DirectionsUse a blender or food processor to combine all of the flank steak marinade ingredients (except the steak). Mix at least 15 seconds. Place flank steak and marinade in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal and turn to coat. Open, squeeze out air, reseal and refrigerate at least 6 hours to ensure fajita flavor and tenderize meat.
Before grilling flank steak you want to bring it to room temperature. This will ensure even grilling and better flavor. So the last hour of marinating remove your flank steak from the fridge and set it out on the counter.
How to Cook Flank Steak on the BBQPreheat grill for medium-high heat, about 450 degrees F. Maintain this temperature at least 30 minutes. It is hot enough when you can place the palm of your hand 2 inches above the grate for only 1 - 2 seconds before pulling away.
Lightly oil the grill grate and grill flank steak to desired doneness, turning once halfway through recommended grill time.
To flip use tongs or a spatula, not a fork, to preserve juices.
