Grilled BBQ Pork Roast Recipe

Pineapple Grilled Pork Roast Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 12)
Time: Under 90 Minutes

  • 1 (3 pound) boneless pork loin roast

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 can crushed pineapple, undrained

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce

  • How To Grill Pork Roast

    Preheat grill for medium-high heat (400 degrees F). Clean and lightly oil grate before placing pork roast on the grill.

    Rub pork roast with salt and pepper. Place it fat side up over direct heat and grill 5 minutes per side to build up a nice crust. Then place over indirect heat and continue grilling pork roast for 20 - 30 minutes (turn every 5 minutes) or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.

    Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together the pineapple, sugar, orange juice, and barbecue sauce. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer and stir for 5 - 10 minutes until everything is well mixed and the sauce has thickened.

    During the last 10 minutes of grilling your pork roast, frequently brush some of the sauce over it (on all sides). Let stand for 5 - 10 minutes before slicing into medallions. Then serve with remaining sauce drizzled over the top of each slice of your barbecued pork roast.
